Privacy Policy — Did You Gym?

This Privacy Policy explains how Day One Foundry LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the Did You Gym? mobile application (the “App”), a workout check-in and streak app. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information you provide

Phone number. The App uses phone-number sign-in to create and secure your account. We use your phone number to verify your identity, create your account, and enable the App’s social features.
Profile information. You may provide a display name and an optional profile photo.
Activity you create. Your check-ins, streaks, and related activity that you record in the App.
Photos. If you choose, you may add photos to your profile or activity using your device’s camera or photo library.

2. Contacts

If you choose to find or invite friends, the App may request access to your device’s contacts. Where you grant permission, contact information is used to help you connect with people you know and to send invitations. We do not access your contacts without your permission, and you can decline or revoke this permission at any time in your device settings.

3. Information collected automatically

Usage and analytics data (via Google Firebase Analytics): app events and interactions, session frequency, a randomly generated app-instance identifier, general device information (model, operating system version, language), and approximate region derived from your IP address.
Crash and diagnostic data (via Google Firebase Crashlytics): diagnostic information when the App crashes or encounters an error, so we can detect and fix problems.
Device push token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging): used to deliver push notifications, such as reminders and social activity, if you enable them.
Purchase data (via RevenueCat and Apple): your purchase and subscription status and a randomly generated app-user identifier used to manage premium access. All payments are processed by Apple; we never receive or store your payment card details.

4. How we store your information

Account, profile, activity, photos, and social-connection data are stored in our cloud services (Google Firebase, including Firestore and Cloud Storage) so that your data is available across sessions and, where applicable, visible to people you connect with according to the App’s features and your choices.

5. How we use information

To create and operate your account and provide the App’s features, including check-ins, streaks, and connecting with friends.
To send you notifications you have enabled, such as reminders and social updates.
To diagnose, fix, and prevent crashes, bugs, and technical problems.
To understand usage patterns and improve the App.
To process and validate purchases and manage subscription access.
To protect the security and integrity of the App, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our terms.

6. How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We share information in the following limited ways:

With other users, to the extent the App’s social features are designed to share it — for example, your display name, profile photo, and activity may be visible to people you connect with.
With service providers that operate the App on our behalf: Google (Firebase) for authentication, cloud database and storage, messaging, analytics, and crash reporting (see Firebase Privacy and the Google Privacy Policy); RevenueCat for purchase management (see the RevenueCat Privacy Policy); and Apple for payments and app distribution (see the Apple Privacy Policy).
For legal reasons, if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the App.

7. Advertising and tracking

The App does not display third-party advertisements and does not use advertising identifiers or track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

8. Data retention

We retain your account and associated information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information associated with the account, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal, accounting, or security obligations. Analytics and crash data are retained according to our service providers’ standard practices and our configuration.

9. Deleting your account and data

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us at the address below. We will process your request in accordance with applicable law.

10. Security

We and our service providers use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

12. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. We do not sell personal information.

13. International users

We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process and store information in the United States and other countries. By using the App, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries that may have different data-protection rules than your own.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be reflected in the App or on this page. Your continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
